ACE Equipment Rentals is the local equipment partner that Quad Cities contractors trust to keep their jobs moving. From general contractors and excavation crews to remodelers and site preppers, we stock the heavy machinery, attachments, lifts, and hand tools you need to complete projects on time and on budget. Based out of our Bettendorf, Iowa location at 3466 State Street, we serve contractors across the entire QC metro — Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, and East Moline — with reliable, well-maintained equipment ready to work the moment you pick it up.
Whether you are a one-truck remodeler tackling a single-family addition or a 20-person crew running a commercial site, we treat every rental like the success of your project depends on it — because it does. That is why we maintain our fleet rigorously, keep our hours straightforward (Monday–Friday 7 AM–4 PM), and answer the phone when you call. Reach us at (563) 271-4732 or hello@rentaceqc.com.
Our equipment shows up on job sites for every type of construction project happening in the Quad Cities. New residential builds and additions rely on our excavators and skid steers for footings and grading. Commercial site work crews use our boom lifts and scissor lifts for elevated installation, painting, and HVAC work. Demolition contractors break concrete and tear out structures with our jackhammers, breakers, and core drills. Site prep teams clear lots with our brush hogs and grapples. Concrete contractors use our compactors, mixers, and concrete buggies to pour, place, and compact. Whatever phase of the job you are on, we have the right tool for it.
Our typical contractor renter is a return customer — they know us by name, we know their crew, and we have their COI on file for the 10% discount. That kind of working relationship saves time on every transaction, which is why we built the Preferred Contractor Program for crews that rent often.
Excavators and Skid Steers. Our heavy equipment fleet includes the workhorses that contractors lean on every day. The Mini Excavator 17G is ideal for tight-access digging on residential lots, while the larger Mini Excavator 35G handles deeper trenches and bigger footings. For commercial-grade work, the Mini Excavator 50P (COI required) delivers serious dig depth and bucket capacity. For skid steer applications, choose between the tracked John Deere 317G Track Loader for soft ground and the wheeled John Deere 320G Wheeled Loader for hard surfaces.
Stand-On Mini Skids. For tight-access work where a full-size skid steer won’t fit, our stand-on mini skid lineup — CTX50, SK900, SK900 with weight kit, SK1550, SK1000, and the SK3000 — gives you full skid steer functionality in a fraction of the footprint. They are popular with backyard pool installers, fence crews, and any contractor working in fenced or finished spaces.
Attachments. Our attachment library pairs with both excavators and skid steers. The Full Size Skid Auger drills post holes and footings. The Grapple Bucket handles brush and debris. Breakers like the HH40C Full Skid Breaker and the 35G Mini Ex Breaker HH40C make short work of concrete demolition. The 72-inch Harley Rake finishes grades to a finished-landscape standard, and the Rotary Cutter/Brush Hog clears overgrown lots.
Lifts. Our lift fleet ranges from a 19 ft Genie scissor lift for indoor electrical and ceiling work to the 26 ft Genie scissor lift and the 32 ft Genie scissor lift for higher commercial reach. For exterior work, towable boom lifts include the 35 ft Haulotte boom lift, the new 45 ft Haulotte boom lift, and the 55 ft Haulotte boom lift. Interior finishing crews rent the PanelLift drywall lift for ceiling installs.
Towable Equipment. Move equipment, debris, or dirt with our towable lineup: 14 ft commercial dump trailer, 6×12 tilt deck trailer, 6.5×22 tilt deck trailer, and the new 8.5×22 tilt deck trailer for hauling bigger machines. Need air? Rent our 185 CFM towable air compressor. For utility work and safe digging, the Vermeer vacuum excavator (COI required) lets you potholing and locate without risking line strikes.
Hand Tools for Concrete and Demolition. Hilti professional-grade hand tools including the DSH 700-X 14 inch gas cut-off saw, DSH 900-X 16 inch gas cut-off saw, DGH 150 concrete grinder, and the TE 3000-AVR heavy-duty jackhammer. Core drilling jobs use the DD 150-U or DD 250-CA diamond core drill with bits from 2 to 12 inches.
Equipment that is ready to work. Every machine in our fleet is inspected, cleaned, and tested between rentals. When you pick up a skid steer or boom lift, you are not gambling on whether it will run — you are putting it to work the moment it lands on your job site.
Local team, direct line. When you call ACE, you reach our team in Bettendorf — not a regional call center two states away. We learn your business, your crews, and the equipment you depend on. That means faster reservations, fewer questions to repeat, and a partner who actually understands what you do.
Competitive rates and predictable pricing. Our rates compete with the national chains, and our pricing is upfront with no surprise fees. Provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance and you automatically save 10% on every rental — see the details on our COI Requirements page.
Same Day, 24-Hour, Weekly, Monthly. Need equipment for a four-hour grade-out? Pick it up Same Day, return by 4:00 PM closing. Multi-day demo job? Go 24-hour. Long pour or earthwork project? Weekly or monthly rates bring your effective daily cost way down.
The first time you rent, plan on a few extra minutes for paperwork — bring a valid photo ID and a 50% deposit, and if you have a Certificate of Liability Insurance, bring a copy or email it ahead to hello@rentaceqc.com. We add your business to our records, list ACE Equipment Rentals as a certificate holder, and you are good to go. After that first visit, return rentals are fast: a phone call to reserve, a quick stop to pick up, and you are back to your crew. Want more on the process? See How Rentals Work and Rental Policies.
We deliver throughout the Quad Cities — see our Delivery & Pickup page for area coverage and rates. For weekend jobs, take advantage of our Weekend Special: pick up after noon Friday and use through Sunday at the one-day rate.
We deliver to job sites throughout the Quad Cities region including Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, LeClaire, Eldridge, Riverdale, Pleasant Valley, Silvis, Milan, Coal Valley, Hampton, Port Byron, and Cordova. If your project site is outside this immediate area, give us a call — we can often work out delivery to surrounding Iowa and Illinois communities depending on the equipment and the day. Our Bettendorf location at 3466 State Street is centrally positioned for the entire metro, with easy I-74 access for crews picking up equipment themselves.
Do you keep contractor accounts on file? Yes. Once you have rented from us and we have your COI on file, future rentals are quicker. Ask about the Preferred Contractor Program for crews that rent often.
Can I rent equipment for longer than a month? Absolutely. Multi-month and seasonal rentals are common for ongoing construction projects. Call (563) 271-4732 for custom pricing on extended terms.
Do you sell used equipment? Periodically, yes. We rotate our fleet and sell well-maintained units. Check our Used Equipment for Sale page for current inventory.
What if equipment breaks down on the job? Call us immediately. Our maintenance team can often troubleshoot over the phone or get a replacement to your site quickly. Customers with a valid COI are typically covered for accidental damage. Find more answers on our FAQ page.
Contractor equipment rental in the Quad Cities follows a predictable seasonal pattern. Spring (March–May) brings the rush — frost is out, sites thaw, and demand spikes for mini excavators, skid steers, plate compactors, and trenchers as new construction and excavation work picks up. Reserve ahead during these months — particularly for the Mini Excavator 35G, the Skid Steer Track Loader 317G, and full-size attachments. Summer (June–August) is peak everything — lifts, towables, hand tools, and heavy equipment all run hard. Fall (September–November) sees demand for concrete work pre-freeze, drainage projects, and final site prep — the Ditch Witch C24x trencher and rotary cutter stay busy. Winter (December–February) is when smart contractors do interior remodels, snow removal prep, and equipment training — scissor lifts, drywall lifts, and hand tools see steady demand even when the ground is frozen.
Knowing the season helps with reservations: contractors who plan their equipment needs a week ahead during spring rush almost never miss a job. Walk-ups during peak weeks sometimes have to flex around what is available. Call (563) 271-4732 early to lock in what you need.
Most contractor jobs need both a base machine and a few attachments. A common combination on residential lots is the 317G Track Loader paired with the Grapple Bucket for site cleanup, swapped to the 72-inch Harley Rake for finish grading. Tear-out jobs run the same skid steer with the HH40C breaker attachment for concrete demolition. For tight-access excavation, the Mini Excavator 17G with the Mini Skid Auger drills clean footing holes in spaces where bigger machines cannot fit.
Bundles save money on common combinations — ask about pricing when you call. We package the 17G excavator with a 6×12 trailer for crews that need to haul the machine themselves. Skid-steer-plus-attachment bundles run for 24-hour or weekly tiers depending on the job. The right combo, priced as a package, often beats renting individual items separately.
Our equipment shows up clean, fueled, and tested. For diesel equipment, we top off the tank — return it the same way, and there are no fuel surcharges. For battery-powered tools (the Hilti cordless saws, jackhammers, and breakers), we send out charged batteries plus the charger. Hydraulic attachments come with quick-connect couplers compatible with the standard universal mount that our skid steers and mini skids use. We label and bag accessories so they do not get lost on the job site.
If something goes wrong — a hydraulic leak, a clogged filter, an unexpected breakdown — call our shop immediately. Most issues we can troubleshoot over the phone, and for the rare hardware failure, we will get you a replacement quickly. Customers with a valid Certificate of Liability Insurance are typically covered for accidental damage; without a COI, repair costs may be charged back to the renter. That is one more reason to email your COI to hello@rentaceqc.com when you set up your account.
