Match the jackhammer to the material thickness and the job duration.
- Hilti TE 2000-22 (Cordless): Best for indoor floor breaking and demo where extension cords are a hassle. Battery operation, full power, no cord. Good for residential basement floors, kitchen/bath tear-out, and small-to-medium concrete demo.
- Hilti TE 2000-AVR (Electric): The standard medium-duty floor breaker. Same class as the cordless but with corded power for all-day jobs. Most common rental for general demo work.
- Hilti TE 3000-AVR (Heavy-Duty Electric): Heavy-duty foundation and slab demo. Reach for this when you are breaking thick reinforced concrete, removing footings, or working through tough material that wears smaller hammers down.
For smaller chipping and surface prep work (not floor breaking), the Hilti breaker line — TE 700-AVR, TE 800-AVR, TE 1000-AVR — handles the lighter-duty work. Call (563) 271-4732 if you are not sure which class fits your job.
